The day of September 11 Anita opened her house to Gigsville. A number of us gathered. As expected there were both tears and laughter. In the midst of our processing the reality of buildings swallowing planes and thousands of lives ending our concern went out to those we knew who lived in the targeted areas. Tigger was in New York, but it was Booger who we feared for the most. Late in the day his email finally arrived. The moment I think I will remember the most is Anita looking up from her computer with tears in her eyes. "We've got Booger." |
